There's two female LIs for this one and it looks lovely. Please Be Happy A lightly magical slice-of-life game about a fox who also is a woman, set in New Zealand. That said, it looks and sounds extremely impressive, though I have a feeling I'm missing a bit of the artistic meaning without being able to read the original Japanese. Ochitsubaki Looking at the store page, this looks like a gorgeous game that's probably not, strictly speaking, a romance visual novel so much as a visual novel with romance and a trans MC. Monstrous Lovers Supernatural BL game releasing just after the fest is over, this one's bilingual (English and Spanish), which is a nice touch. This is from the same team that did Demonheart (or at least the same writer under the same studio name), so this one's got a proven team behind it. Jester/King A dark fantasy mystery story with a male MC, Madion, and four other characters in the supporting cast, two male and two female.
Mostly GxB romances, looks like, but at least one LI seems to be bi.
You can even have the MCs fall in love with each other. Gods of the Twilight A cyberpunk-fantasy adventure with a unique hook: you play as both a male and female MC, there are five LIs available, and you can woo them in a lot of varying ways (including poly romances, apparently!). Looks short and sweet, but there's no word count/predicted play time, so it's hard to be sure. Leans more "dating sim" than "visual novel" based on appearances.įreezer Pops A bara visual novel set in Brazil with two routes and erotic/romance scenes. Looks pretty goofy, but you get to pick the appearance and voice of the MC, and the game is tagged with LGBTQ+. the villages that were subject to viking raids? Not the villagers, the villages. There are also some minigames.ĭoki Doki Ragnarok A game in which you are a viking and date. Structures itself as a single route, but you get to pick which LI accompanies you. To be 100% clear: this is a stat raiser VN about being a vampire, with optional GxG romances in the epilogue, not strictly a romance VN.ĭeep in the Forest A fantasy BL title coming out at the end of the year, available in English and Spanish. Not sure if this demo is any different from the previous ones, but if you're the kind of gamer who really needs a game on Steam in order to play it, here it is!Ĭute Bite Hanako Games' vampire stat raiser, this one was a big success on Kickstart in April and is targeting an autumn release.
Heads up that it is tagged with sexual content, and the preview images include choices for using a safeword, so this one's probably spicy.Ĭall Me Under Lunaris Games' upcoming release, this one looks amazing: great art, diverse cast, the promise of full voice-acting in the final release. I'll, uh, give you a guess about what kind of romance it offers. Also has a really fun dialogue system where you choose between several moods/tones for dialogue.īara Giants A fantasy RPG-VN hybrid. I cannot promise any of these demos will be available after June 22.Īrcadia Fallen A fantasy adventure story with a fun art style and a pretty customisable MC (body type, pronouns, and voice are all separate options), with four LIs (I met two ladies and a gent in an earlier demo). Standard disclaimer: I haven't played most of these demos I am describing content based on descriptions in the trailer, tags, and store page. As a rule, the expectation is that the games will be released before the next fest (in autumn), so consider this a way to find out what projects are just about ready to release and give them a try before you wishlist/buy them! This post also has a sister in the Indie Otome subreddit that has a few titles that don't have LGBTQ+ content, but defiitely qualify as otome games. These demos usually go down afterwards, so if a game had your eye you should play it right away. Steam's begun having seasonal events in which game devs release demos during a short period to build hype for upcoming games.
